What this hadith collection contains
Sahih Muslim opens with an important introduction and then brings narrations together by subject, including faith, purification, prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage, family life and character. Alongside Sahih al-Bukhari, it is commonly known as one of the Two Sahih collections.
Related chains and wordings are often gathered close together, making the collection especially useful for comparing routes of transmission and small differences in wording without losing the subject context.
