Ramadan is the ninth month of the Hijri calendar and fasting during it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The first fast is expected on 8 February 2027, subject to an authorised local moon-sighting announcement.

Sehri ends at the calculated Fajr time and Iftar begins at Maghrib. Use this complete Makkah timetable to plan every fast, while confirming local moon-sighting and mosque guidance.

How to use the Ramadan timetable

Finish food and drink before the listed Fajr time. Break the fast when Maghrib begins. Allow time before Fajr rather than treating the final minute as a target, and confirm local mosque announcements because calculation conventions and observed dates can vary.

Prepare for a purposeful Ramadan

Build a sustainable plan around the five daily prayers, Quran recitation, dua, charity, family responsibilities and rest. A smaller routine maintained throughout the month is more beneficial than an unrealistic plan that quickly stops.

The final ten nights

Increase worship during the last ten nights and seek Laylat al-Qadr throughout them, especially the odd nights. Avoid declaring one night with certainty where the beginning of the month may differ locally.

Moon-sighting notice: all 2027 Gregorian dates are planning estimates and can vary by one day by country.
